Marcus Aurelius Meditations (5.26)At Dandelion Health & Healing, we offer trauma-informed sports massage—a holistic approach that combines the physical benefits of traditional sports massage with a compassionate understanding of how trauma can affect the body and nervous system.I am a trauma, mental health and disability informed practitioner, and have awareness of how these conditions can impact receiving treatment and care.Whether you're an athlete, someone in recovery, or simply looking to reconnect with your body in a safe and supportive space, this service is designed to meet you where you are. What Is Trauma-Informed Sports Massage?
Trauma-Informed Sports Massage respects your emotional and physical boundaries, recognising that healing goes beyond just muscles and joints. This approach emphasises choice, trust, and safety, creating a space where you can fully relax, release tension, and reconnect with your body—without fear of being triggered or overwhelmed. My therapy and approach is ideal For:
Athletes with a trauma history (stroke, accidents, medical trauma, physical injuries, etc.).Clients with mental health conditions, PTSD, eating disorders, anorexia and anxiety. What you can expect from me:
We prioritise clear communication, consent, and collaboration every step of the way. You’re always in control of your session—pressure, areas worked on, positioning, and pace are adjusted to meet your needs. I use oil free and scent-free wax, which is more comfortable for people with sensory challenges and it offers better precision and control.Comfortable, quiet settingOngoing check-ins and full-body autonomyNo assumptions—just respectful, professional care
